Matt joined Compass Commercial Mortgage in 2006. His 17 years in commercial mortgage banking have taught him many important lessons: always put the client first, be an active leader in every loan request, and never stop learning.
His day-to-day responsibilities include the management of the loan pipeline. He is intimately familiar all facets of commercial lending including loan originations, credit analysis, and loan closing. In addition to these key business tenets, Matt also has excellent soft skills and prides himself on delivering excellent service to clients.
Passionate about service he is active in the Risk Management Association’s South Florida Chapter where he currently serves on the board as Communication Chair. Previously, Matt has served as Chapter President, Vice President, Secretary, and Chair of Young Professionals.
A Michigan native, Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. He was actively involved with the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity where he held officer positions including Secretary and Risk Manager.
Prior to joining the Compass team, Matt was an Assistant Branch Manager for Comerica Bank where he managed a team of private bankers and tellers.
